Downline Meeting!

Bev Joplin, brought these 2 cuties to share with us, both of which were cased. Aren't they adorable? Bev taught us how to make the little baby carriage. Both the baby carriage and the bib were made using the the Big Scallop Sissix die from Stampin Up.
Today was our monthly downline meeting and we had a great time! Wish that everyone could have been here, but the ones who were had an awesome time. We worked together and had lots of fun making a pop-up die card. We cased a Boat Card from someone else's blog - but now I can't find it to give credit.

Next Month at our June 28th meeting, we are going to be doing a shoebox swap, using stamp sets from the new catalog preview! WE are all getting so excited. Join my team and come to our meeting next month!

Tomorrow we will get the Retiring List of Stamps! So stay tuned for that. It is always a bittersweet time to find out which of our stamps will be retiring, but it is also an exciting time as we anticipate what will be in the new book.

Book a party in June, or take up a catalog order, and if your sales are $250 (merchandise) then you will get $20 EXTRA free merchandise. If your merchandise total is $400, then you get $40 of extra hostess merchandise! Woo Hoo!

Going, Going . . . Almost Gone!

Whew! What a busy month May has been! I can hardly believe that it is almost over. And with it will go two great Stampin Up specials--the Buy 3 Get 1 Free 12" x 12" Designer papers and textured cardstock; and also the "Join Stampin Up for $75" Special.

I will be placing another order on Sautrday night, May 30th - so it isn't too late to get in on this great special! And I am ALWAYS looking for new members to my team! Whether you want the complete opportunity, or merely the 20% discount!

Both are great reasons to join, and when you join, you get to come play with me and my downline at all of our get togethers! This Sunday we are getting together to make pop-up cards using the new cake die! Woo Hoo! I tried to post a picture of the new pop=up cake die, but as usual, I was unable to convince my computer to do so! Well, I am admitting defeat for tonight. I am off to see the wizard! I need to get some sleep so I can get up and get my cards ready for tomorrow night's stamp club! Thanks for stopping by!

Father's Day Gift Bag

Hi! What a lovely weekend we have had! I didn't have any stamping events scheduled, so my husband and I got out and went for a drive on Saturday and ate dinner while we were out. A nice day! No day out would be complete without a stop at a Dollar Tree! We were in Kentucky, and there was a new one that had just opened. I found the cutest Gift Bag for Father's Day, and I came home and made one Stampin Up style! I used the Designer Paper that we got during Sale-a-bration. I used 2 So Safron brads for the "buttons" on the collar, and a clear rhinestone brad for the "tie tac". Happy Crafting!

Graduation

Well, it is that time of year again - when the graduation march is playing, and we are needing graduation cards to send to friends and family. I have created one that is super easy and quick to do. I used the black striped paper from Rockabilly again, and stamped GRAD with black Staz-on ink on Glossy Cardstock for this quick card. Happy Stamping!

Scrapbook Tuesday

Today was Scrapbook Tuesday at my house again! My friend, Monta, and I have been trying to scrapbook every Tuesday. We are so far behind on scrapbooking that the pictures are just about to take a life of their own! In fact, it has gotten so bad here, that i just quit printing out the pictures. So my answer to that has been to just grab a stack of pictures and find something that catches my fancy, and just scrapbook it. Not necesarily in chronological order. Just do it! Something scrapbooked is better than nothing! it has been such a relief to actually accomplish something! Today I scrapped my son's driving experience on the racetrack in Charlotte. My littlest granddaughter was there to supervise the whole event! lol I used both of our star punches to make the stars on the border. You punch the little star first, and then align the bigger star around the star-hole you just punched, to make the outline star that is at the top and bottom of the left hand page. The Checkered black and white border on the right side of the page was made by weaving 1/2" black and white strips to represent the finish line.

Just another Manic Sunday!

Here are the cards that we made today. I cased, mostly the cupcake one and the tool apron one, but the Backwoods Cabin is my own! Hope you enjoy them! the little birds on the log cabin card are there because I got a couple of black spots on the card--so I just turned them into flying birds! Another opportunity for creativity! lol

Oh, that's right, the title of that song was Manic Monday! Anyway today was a busy day here. We got up and went to Sunday School, met the kids and grandkids for lunch at Fazoli's, ran to the store, put away groceries, cooked the sausage and hamburger, and got the pepperoni ready to make Calzones for supper. My daughter took over the bread machine to make the dough for the calzones. Then it was time to finish getting the cards supplies ready for today's Stamp Club. We made a Father's Day card and a Happy Birthday card. Love those designer series papers, like Rockabilly! Once they were gone, we got the rest of supper ready for everyone, did the dishes and it was time to draw a deep breath. While Mary Ann and I were making cards with the stamp club, my daughter in law and the granddaughters were off to a 4-H meeting. Yesterday it was soccer, and a visit to the Horse Barn. and on Tuesday it will be Brownies. There is always something to be done it seems! Thanks for stopping by.

Vellum Flowers

This is a detail of the corner of one of my recent scrapbook pages. I used the Simple Flower embossing folder with Vellum for the flower. I applied Pink Passion ink to the back of the vellum with a sponge dauber. There is a rhinestone brad in the center of the middle flower, and I used the Little Leaves Sizzlet for the leaves. The leaves have a light dusting of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on them.

I am still busy scrapbooking! I finished the pictures of my grandaughter's trip to Washington DC over spring break.

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapbooking, again! Woo Hoo!

I have had a very productive 2 weeks with scrapbooking! I haven't done much in a very long time and I am so happy to be completing pages again! A big Thanks to National Scrapbooking Month, and my friend, Monta - for lighting a fire under me and getting me going again! I have gotten so far behind on scrapbooking the events in the lives of my two granddaughters! Here are a couple of pages from our "Nature Hike" that we went on after a soccer game. Very impromptu, but so much fun! That works better for me anyway. If I have a plan, something always seems to come up and ruin it - so this was perfect!

Happy Stamping!

Scrapbook Samples

These two pages coordinate with the ones that I posted earlier this month. I used the same Rose Red and Garden Green Cardstock as well as the same two inks, along with So Saffron and Certainly Celery ink. The Stamp set is Garden Whimsey and I used an embossing folder for the flower at the corner of the Rectangles.
Happy Stamping!
