One Sheet Wonder Class

This is the picture of the cards and Post-it-Note holders that we made in this Week's One Sheet Wonder Class. We stamped one sheet of cardstock with the stamps from the Circle Circus set of stamps - black ink on white cardstock. Then we cut that piece of cardstock up and put it with pices from 1 sheet of black, 1 sheet of white, 2 sheets of Bermuda Bay, and 2 of Real Red. It was a quick and easy way to make 7 cards and 2 small gifts. Enjoy! Off to freeze corn and hold a stamp club. Happy Stamping!

Convention Pictures

Well, it is nearly the end of anothe busy day. I had 6 boxes of Stampin Up merchandidse to sort into orders, and get the stamps mounted! I am making progress getting caught up from being gone all last week at convention. The card uses the set, Inspired by Nature, and that is the class that I am doing tomorrow night. This is going to be the inspiration for one of the cards we will be making. The earring is made from some of our cool designer brads and a rhinestone brad! I saw a lady wearing it at the airport. She took it off so several of us could photograph it! Speaking of the airport - I was sitting there just about half asleep, when someone asked if they could sit in the seat next to mine. I looked up and it was Belinda Elsworth - our Conference Keynote speaker! It was really neat to listen to her talk, as we waited for our flight. Turned out we were on the same flight. She said that she tried to condense her 4 hour talk into 4 and 1/2 hours! No wonder she had to talk fast to get it all in! Got to get back to work. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

Birthdays and Princess Crowns and Scrapbooking!

What a day! My granddaughter's 6th birthday was while I was at Convention, therefore I wasn't here to help her celebrate. We took time out this afternoon to go to lunch and celebrate - just her mom, her sister, Darcy and me. We went to Captain D's for lunch, and as part of the party fun, I took pieces from our new Princess Birthday Party Kit, and let the girls make their own crowns and wands! What a really cool kit this is. The girls loved it. Then we came home and they watched movies and I planned a 2 page spread for a scrapbook class. As usual, the pages took on a life of their own, and wouldn't let me decide how I wanted them to look, but I am pleased with the way they turned out. I love the detail on the pocket die cut. It is using our new perfect detail embossing folder. The flowers are from the Pretties Kit, sponged with Melon Mambo ink. I love the 5/8" very vanilla brad in the center of the top flower. Maybe tomorrow I can post convention pictures. I still have stamps to unpack and orders to bag up and another class to plan. Thanks for stopping by. Happy stamping!

Home Again!

I made it home about 4 this afternoon. Was late leaving Salt Lake City- they had to do a plane change, and we had to wait while they routed our flight crew out of bed! Then we had to circle in Detroit, there was some kind of emergency on the ground there. They changed our plane there and I barely made it to the right gate in time. Sure was glad to be home! James had supper on the way--he had gotten the new potatoes in the pan and ready for me to cook, had the green beans picked, strung and on to cook when we got home from the airport. While I finished supper - fried green potatoes, corn on the cobb, applesauce and cucumbers, he went back to the garden and picked the corn. We just finished freezing 51 bags of corn--close to 60 pints--I overfilled the bags, so there wouldn't be so many of them! Now to visit with my granddaughters and get ready for tomorrow night's class!
I decided to post the picture of me walking across the stage at convention - This was for my 5 years of working with Stampin Up. The lady with me is Carrie Monroy, a lady from a friend's team. She is also receiving her 5-year pin. Walking across that stage is an awesome experience! More pictures tomorrow. The other one is of the corn we froze.

Friday, August 7 - Convention Update

Hello!
What a day we had yesterday. We had presentations, Main Stage with Shellie and the awesome Awards night! I am so excited! Two of my stamping demonstrator friends from Clarksburg, WV made it to the Top 100 in the Stampin Up company! How awesome is that!!!! They will get to go to Founder's Circle with our company owner Shelli Gardner for a special retreat in September in Utah! Definitely there are so many opportunities with Stampin Up!

Yesterday we got to see a fabulous demonstration of the Digital Studios! --a program for the computer that allows you to design cards and scrapbook pages, using our designer papers, cardstock colors, etc. This is coming in September, and we are all very excited about it. We also have a line of jewelry coming then too--3 sizes of lockets that you can put pictures in or stamped art. At the main Stage presentation today, Shelli demonstrated/and /or showed us different gifts that we can make using our products and other materials, such as fabric! In fact, one of the prizes today was a new stamp set, Charming, that can be used with our new jewelry. But that wasn't the best part--the best part was that Shelli had stamped an image and those that won, got the stamp set, plus a locket with a stamped image by Shelli! Woo Hoo! Wish i had been one of the lucky ones!

I may not have computer access until I get home on Sunday night. I am in the business center renting a computer so that I can write to you. We did a WOW swap last night, and I got some really pretty cards that I will be sharing with you over the next few weeks. Happy Stamping and Thanks for stopping by.

Convention!

We made it! What a time we had getting here yesterday! I flew from Charleston to Cinncinatti - after a 1 1/2 hour wait on the runway in Charleston. Cinncinatti had to close their airport due to severe rain and thunderstorms. So by the time we left Charelston, I had already missed my flight to Salt Lake City. First I was on stand-by and then they gave me a confirmed flight to Salt Lake City--via Philadelphia!!! After a couple more hours, I asked again, and that time I got the direct flight to SLC. I got here at 5:30 instead of 10:30, but at least I arrived safely! My luggage got stuck on the conveyer belt for a little while, but at least it got here. AS I was headed for the baggage claim, I met a whole slew of policemen coming towards me looking right and left. Talk about a scary feeling. I heard one of them say, lets check the rest rooms, he might be in there! I was glad to get to my hotel, I tell you! We are staying at Embassy Suites, and it is really nice! It comes with breakfast each morning--a real breakfast. Today we spent mostly standing in line at Momento Mall - an hour to get in and an hour to check out. My friend, Kathy Hamrick, earned a place in Founders Circle!!! That is a HUGE deal for a demonstrator. She gets to spend 4 days in September with the top 100 demonstrators in SU, and with our founder, Shelli Gardener!!! Wooo Hooo Way to go Kathy! I don't have the capabilities to send pictures. Sorry, will have to do that when I get home. Can't wait for the General Session tomorrow morning. They always have announcements, prize patrol, and stamping demonstrations! Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Little One

This is the swap that one of my downline, Rhonda made for our swap at our monthly downline meeting in July. I love the use of the punches! I am pre-posting this as I don't know when I will have computer access again. I should be at Convention in Salt Lake City when you read this. Thanks for stopping by.

3-D Trades

Well, I am off! Here are some of the 3-D items that I made to take with me. They were all made using the new Two Tag Sissix Die and the Big Shot. The first picture is made to look like a mini clipboard, and the next one is of the inside of the little post-it note holder. It is followed by the picture of the outside of the little post-it note holder. (I still haven't gotten onto getting my pictures to post in the order I want them to!) the last picture is the basket full of them ready to take to trade! I also made some Lip Gloss Holders to trade. Thanks for stopping by.

Convention Bound!

Well, it is finally almost here. I leave early in the morning for Salt Lake City and Stampin Up's annual convention. I am glad it is going to be in Salt Lake City again--it is so nice to have some idea where things are - both in the convention center and also in the city itself. I have been 2 other times, and we have stayed in totally different areas each time. And this time is no different! The first time I stayed right across the street from the Salt Palace Convention Center, and that was nice and convenient. Last year we stayed about a mile away in a really neat suite hotel, with a kitchen and lots of room for the 5 of us, and the taxi ride was only a couple of dollars each because there were so many of us. Next door to a Pizza Hut, near a Staples and a shopping center, and not far from a really good Steakhouse - Ruby River! This time we are staying a different direction from town center, so it will be another learning experience! I think today's card should have said Celebrate! This is how I feel, like I am celebrating and I am all happy and excited! The set of stamps is Crazy for Cupcakes - again! and the DSP is Tea Party.
I don't know if I will have access to a computer while I am gone or not, and even if I do, I don't think I will be able to figure out how to get pictures on here. If I have access, you will be hearing from me! Can't wait to see what all they have in store for us! Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Convention is Almost Here!

Good morning! I can hardly believe that I will be leaving in 2 days for Convention!!! I am finishing up things and getting packed. Tomorrow night is my first stamp club for August and we are going to be using the Big Shot to make the background for our Just Buzzing By card. It is the Perfect Detail Impressions Plate--looks like scored crosshatch with a little dot at the top of each crosshatch! I am also using it on the card that I am taking to convention as my Make and Take for the RemARKables dinner and swap. it is the card that I have posted today. Note the surprise when you open the card! I love pop-up cards. We made it last week in my Crazy for Cupcakes card class. It was a crowd pleaser!

Wonderful Friends!

I am so blessed with wonderful friends! These are two of the cards that I will be taking to Convention to swap! I have 2 friends who made these for me to take!!! Can you imagine how grateful and awed I was when they brought these cards to me?!!! I also have another friend who helped me emboss other cars of mine that I will be swapping. I love the new Bridal papers that we have. The first sample is made with Groom and Bridesmaid Designer Papers, and Very Vanilla Ribbon. Monta used the new butterfly punch to punch the butterfly from vellum, on which she had stamped the flowers from Loads of Love" Vickie used Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and DSP from Razzleberry Lemonade to make the Apron Recipe card! I can hardly wait to get to convention to see what everyone is bringing to trade. I am taking part in the WOW Swap from Splitcoast Stampers. I still have 26 more to go of my "Dasher" cards! Somehow it seems that just before convention that the days only have about 12 hours in them, and I need for them to have at least 48! lol Take care, and happy stamping!
